This book serves as a comprehensive documentation of the research and conceptual development that went into the creation of Blazing Shadows.  It not only highlights the early phases of idea generation and thematic exploration, but also delves into the technical steps of bookbinding that were applied in the final product.In addition, this documentation presents a series of material experiments involving fire, paper, and plastic to explore whether it is possible to create a book cover with real burn marks—focusing on tactile and olfactory experiences as expressive tools.The book also includes extended research into the role of light and shadow in illustrative works, and how these elements can be used to intensify emotional impact. It examines visual storytelling pioneers who have mastered the use of contrast to enhance narrative depth.Lastly, the documentation walks through the illustration process of each piece featured in Blazing Shadows, culminating in the presentation of the final illustrated book.
